In about an hour of posting my Salesforce.com was down entry, I received a call from Stacy Cowley of IDG asking for an interview. The article was posted on Computer World Australia and TMCnet about an hour later. The saleforce watch reference and I are the only two sites to be mentioned? Anyone else out there effected?
As mentioned in the article - service was restored for me about 4:40 p.m. EST and I backup and synced my data.
Salesforce.com is quick to tout their growing user base, but one should question their ability to adequately support this growth. According to Deutsche Bank 35,288 Salesforce.com subscribers left in the last 4 quarters, and Nucleus Research says 38% are planning to or would consider moving to another solution – we have to assume that frustration surrounding performance and customer support has to be part of this. It seems as though perhaps Salesforce.com should start being less concerned with their stock price and more concerned about their customers and the performance of their system.

Jason, there are a handful of customers that have posted in the forums (open to paying customers). Still waiting on an official word…..
